Our Travel Plan
Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure? Let’s set off to wonderful Lapland, home of the Indigenous Sami people, it is a magical place of pristine Arctic landscapes. Lapland is a place where winter feels real, honest, and unfiltered. Endless forests covered in snow, frozen lakes stretching beyond the horizon, soft Arctic light during the day and deep silence at night create a landscape that slowly pulls you out of everyday rhythm and places you somewhere much further north, both geographically and mentally. This journey takes us into the heart of Finnish Lapland, where winter is not a backdrop but a way of life.
Over the course of these days, we experience the North through movement and stillness, through cold air on our faces and warmth inside cozy houses after long days outdoors. We spend our time beyond the Arctic Circle, following snowy roads, exploring wild areas, and stepping into landscapes that feel untouched and spacious. Winter activities here are not attractions but part of the environment itself — husky sledding through forests, snowmobiles crossing frozen terrain, reindeer nearby, and nights spent watching the sky in search of the Aurora Borealis.
We live in comfortable house surrounded by nature, where evenings are slow, calm, and grounded, often ending in a traditional Finnish sauna — the simplest and most natural way to recharge after cold days outside. Traveling by car allows us to move freely, stop whenever the landscape asks for attention, and reach places that organized tourism usually passes by. It becomes a true winter road trip, shaped by weather, light, and the moment rather than by a strict schedule.
Like all our journeys, this one is carefully planned, yet never rigid. We leave space for flexibility, for changes, for small unexpected moments that often become the strongest memories. Some locations remain undisclosed on purpose, not to create mystery, but to allow the experience to unfold naturally, without expectations, the way Lapland itself prefers to be discovered.
We will visit the best and most top locations, as well as secret ones that few people know about. Of course, as always, we will not tell the full itinerary in advance. However, to make you aware of what «F * cking amazing» is waiting for you, I tell you a little bit about our adventure:
Day 1 — Arrival in Kuusamo & First Arctic Evening
We meet in Kuusamo Airport, where the crisp Arctic air immediately sets the tone for the days ahead. After picking up our cars, we drive through snow-covered landscapes toward our accommodation, getting our first taste of Lapland’s vastness and quiet beauty along the way.
Once we arrive, we settle into our cozy house surrounded by forests and snow, a place that will become our base for the journey. The evening is relaxed and unhurried — dinner together, warm drinks, getting to know each other, and, if conditions allow, our first chance to step outside and look up at the northern sky in search of the Aurora Borealis.
Day 2 — National Parks, Arctic Nature & Finnish Sauna
This day is dedicated to the natural landscapes of Lapland. We head out to explore nearby national parks, walking through snowy forests, along frozen rivers and open viewpoints, where the scale of the North becomes truly visible. These are not rushed hikes but slow explorations, with time to stop, take photos, and simply absorb the surroundings.
Later in the day, we visit a reindeer farm to learn more about local life and traditions in this part of Finland.
After returning home, the afternoon and evening are reserved for one of the most important elements of northern culture — a traditional Finnish sauna. It is the perfect way to warm up after a cold day outdoors and fully relax before the next adventures.
Day 3 — Husky Safari & Northern Lights Hunting
One of the most iconic winter experiences in Lapland awaits us today. After a short introduction and instructions, we take part in a husky sledding safari, driving our own sleds through forests and open snowy terrain, guided by energetic and powerful dogs who clearly love what they do.
After the safari, we return to our accommodation for some rest and recovery. In the evening, we head out again — this time with one goal in mind: Northern Lights hunting. We search for the best conditions away from artificial light, adjusting our plans based on weather and forecasts, giving ourselves the best possible chance to witness this natural phenomenon
Day 4 — Snowmobiles, Winter Walk & Slow Evening
Today we experience Lapland from a different perspective as we set off on a snowmobile safari. Riding through frozen landscapes, forests, and open areas gives a strong sense of freedom and scale that is hard to describe until you experience it yourself.
Later, we switch pace with a short winter walk, allowing time to slow down again and notice the details — the silence, the snow underfoot, the low Arctic light. The evening is intentionally calm, with no rush or fixed plans: dinner together, sauna if we feel like it, conversations, and rest.
Day 5 — Ice Karting & Ice Fishing
This day brings a mix of adrenaline and complete calm. We start with winter ice karting, racing on a frozen track where control, fun, and laughter naturally take over. It’s a different kind of winter experience that adds energy and a playful element to the trip.
Afterward, we slow things down entirely with ice fishing on a frozen lake. This is not about the result but about the process — drilling the ice, sitting quietly, watching the horizon, and experiencing one of the simplest and most authentic Arctic traditions.
Day 6 — Santa Claus Village & Final Evening
We spend this day visiting Santa Claus Village, crossing the Arctic Circle, walking through the area at our own pace, taking photos, and sending postcards from one of the northernmost post offices in the world. Whether you come for the atmosphere, curiosity, or simply to enjoy the place, it is a light and enjoyable part of the journey.
The final evening is spent together back at our accommodation, reflecting on the days we’ve shared, enjoying a last dinner, and, if luck is on our side, making one final attempt to catch the Northern Lights before saying goodbye to Lapland.
Day 7 — Departure from Kuusamo
After a calm morning and breakfast, we drive back to Kuusamo Airport for departure. We leave Lapland without rushing, taking with us memories of snowy roads, quiet forests, shared experiences, and the unique feeling that only the North can give.
